We are here to guide you towards parenthood!

INFERTILITY SERVICES

  • Infertility treatment preserves the gift of motherhood. We offer a complete range of infertility treatment like:
    • Intrauterine insemination (IUI) : Intrauterine insemination is a popular infertility treatment which involves placing the sperm in the uterus (artificial insemination). This treatment is employed in various conditions, including male infertility (characterised by low sperm motility, abnormal shape and size of sperm or reduced sperm concentration), female infertility, administration of donor sperm, etc.
    • In vitro fertilisation (IVF) : In vitro fertilisation is a treatment plan which involves bringing about fertilisation of sperm and ovum in a laboratory (in vitro). Following this, the fertilised egg is placed in the female uterus for further development. It is an effective procedure which is commonly suggested to women in their 4th decade, couples suffering from infertility due to genetic abnormalities, couples who have undergone vasectomy/tubectomy, etc.
    • Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) : Typically, the sperm has to penetrate the membranes of the ovum to bring about fertilisation. However, when the sperm mobility is reduced or it is unable to penetrate the ovum, intracytoplasmic sperm injection comes into play. This procedure involves injecting the sperm into the centre of the ovum to fertilise it. This fertilised egg is grown in the laboratory for a few days before it is placed into the uterus for further development.
    • Follicular sonography : Follicular sonography is a scanning procedure used to monitor the growth and development of the follicles in females. Adequate and proper follicular growth is indicative of good reproductive health and is an essential part of devising a fertility treatment plan. Various vaginal scans are performed to track ovulation (release of egg) in the female which is essential for conception.
    • Oocyte donation : Women typically start releasing eggs from menstruation and continue till menopause. However, few women face difficulty in conceiving despite being in reproductive age due to various genetic, environmental or health issues. Oocyte donation comes in as a boon in such cases as oocytes can be retrieved from a donor and artificially inseminated to bring about fertilisation. Healthier oocytes from the donor are more likely to help achieve a better success rate with pregnancy.
    • Donor semen insemination : When a male partner is suffering from infertility, sperms can be obtained from a known or unknown donor and artificially inseminated. This process is called Donor insemination. Before using the donor sperm, it is tested for various infectious diseases. Sperm banks usually freeze these sperm for up to six months.
    • Embryo donation : Oocyte or sperm donation are popular employed methods in case of infertility in one of the partners. However, embryo donation comes as a blessing when both the partners suffer from infertility and fail to achieve pregnancy. Extra embryos produced during IVF treatment can be preserved by cryopreservation, and can be donated to couples who are looking to have a child. Consent of the couple will be taken before their embryos are donated, used for research purposes. Few couples can opt for discarding the embryos as well.
    • Frozen embryo transfer: Frozen embryo transfer refers to the process of freezing or preserving the embryos from previous IVF treatment before placing them in the uterus. Frozen embryos may be advised in some patients with pre-existing health issues, genetics conditions where fresh embryos are contraindicated. Frozen embryo transfer is also employed in case of embryo donation.

FERTILITY PRESERVATION

For women who wish to defer their child bearing or for women battling cancer with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, fertility preservation comes as a boon. It gives them another chance to achieve their dream of motherhood. To support this, we offer:

  • Oocyte Cryopreservation : Oocyte cryopreservation refers to the freezing of eggs following their retrieval from the body in order to preserve them. This is useful for women who would like to postpone their pregnancy due to various medical conditions or due to personal preference.
  • Embryo Cryopreservation : Embryo cryopreservation involves storing the embryos at extremely low temperatures for preservation. These preserved embryos can be used to achieve pregnancy later on. This is one of the popular forms of preserving fertility.
